Meditation Basics

Consistency - It is best to practice meditation the same time each day making it a habit. Remember, frequency is more important that duration.

Place - Designate a space where you can be undisturbed. Use the same seat, cushion or chair. If possible make that its only use.

Posture - There are numerous meditation postures, including the lotus, half-lotus, and crossed-leg postures. A cushion is often used to help support the body when seated in these positions. You may also kneel, sit in a chair, or even lie down. The eyes can be open or closed. The hands can simply be placed on the legs, palms up or down.

Remember, keep it simple and regular.
